Assembly Mechanic

 

Immediate opening to help us assemble, test, and ship our custom built equipment.   Ability to read schematics and blueprints is necessary. Prior experience as an auto mechanic or millwright is preferred. We are a 40-year old company serving the synthetic fiber industry world-wide.  Insurance, 401k, vacation, great people.

 

The successful candidate must have the ability to read schematics, blueprints, and bills of material. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Applicants will likely have their own tools, and will be able to demonstrate prior experience in the assembly of complex machinery. The successful candidate needs the ability to stand the majority of the working day, to lift up to 50 pounds, & to multi-task with problem solving skills.

 

Duties include:

 

*Building sub assemblies

*Checking parts for proper manufacturing

*Installing mechanical components and sub assemblies into machines according to diagrams and written specifications

*Mounting auxiliary equipment to the machine

*Correctly positioning parts and drill, tap and ream holes at designated points

*Aligning and connecting parts together with fasteners using hand and power tools

*Completing 3-phase electrical systems

*Setup and operating machine for testing purposes

*Strong customer service skills, a team-player attitude & regular and acceptable attendance are required.
