DM&E is located on the eastern edge of Shelby in western North Carolina, 45 minutes west of Charlotte. Charlotte is the nearest major airport, and ground transportation is easily arranged at the airport. Good hotel accomodations are available in Shelby.

Directions To DM&E From the North or East (Charlotte, Charlotte Airport): Take Interstate 85 South. Exit #10B on US 74 West to Shelby (13 Miles). Turn left onto NC 180 South. DM&E is 3/4 mile on the left, across the highway from Morning Star Baptist Church. From the West (Asheville): Take Interstate 26 East toward Spartanburg. Exit on US 74 East to Shelby at Exit #36. Continue to Shelby (44 Miles). On the east side of Shelby, turn South on NC 180. DM&E is 3/4 mile on the left, across the highway from the Morning Star Baptist Church. From the South (Spartanburg): Take Interstate 85 North to Exit #96 at Gaffney. Take SC 18 North (it will be NC 18 in North Carolina) 9 1/2 miles. At a flashing yellow signal take NC180 North 6 miles. DM&E is on the right across the highway from the Morning Star Baptist Church.
