Tension: The 310 Series Tension Stand senses and adjusts the tow tension in a fiber line to maintain constant downstream tension. A pneumatic brake produces up to 250 lbs. [113 kg] of fiber tension. A self engaging "Omega" wrap ensures maximum hold on the tow and prevents slipping.
Dancer: The integral dancer senses the tow tension. If there is a rise in tension, the dancer signals the brake to release and reduce the downstream tension. If the tension drops, the signal from the dancer increases the air pressure in the brake to maintain the desired tension.
Options: The 310 Series Tension Stand utilizes two methods of resistance to provide the tension. In addition to the brake controlled tension stand, a motor controlled tension stand uses an AC motor to provide the required tension. If the incoming tension is above the set point, the stand acts as a motor assist stand to remove that tension. When the incoming tension is low, the tension stand motor brakes and dissipates the excess energy via a heavy duty dynamic braking system. Call DM&E to request custom applications.
Safety: Covers and guards are safety interlocked to prevent the operator from incidental contact with the moving parts of the tension stand.
Power Requirements: 110/220 volts, single-phase, 50/60 Hz, AC (brake controlled stand)
380/460 volts, 3-phase, 50/60 Hz, AC (opt. motor controlled stand)
Weight: Approximately 3000 lbs. [1360 kg]
Warranty: The 310 Series Tension Stand is warranted for one year against defects in material and workmanship. Expendable wear items are excluded.
