The DM&E Pneumatic Presser Wheel makes some of the benefits of the presser
wheel mechanism found on all DM&E cutters available to owners of Mark IV
and Mark V cutters. The Pneumatic Presser Wheel uses an adjustable, large
diamter presser wheel. A larger presser wheel creates a shallower incidence
angle, resulting in a more gentle cutting action. Regulated, pneumatic
loading of the presser wheel replaces the mechanical spring, providing
maximum protection against costly reel damage from knots and dull/broken
blades. A custom control panel allows for quick adjustment of the cutting
force. The presser wheel to blade clearance adjusts simply. The unit
arrives on site ready to install.
